Kesha gets emotional during another Bob Dylan tribute

Kesha grew emotional as she sung another Bob Dylan tribute the night after her Dylan cover at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (22May16).

The Tik Tok singer performed the veteran's song It Ain't Me Babe with singer/songwriter Ben Folds at the Las Vegas music ceremony, after it was originally cancelled because Kemosabe Records executives feared she would address her ongoing legal battle with producer Dr. Luke onstage.

They changed their minds after Kesha assured them she was simply planning to sing a tribute to Bob Dylan, and she kept her promise by staying silent on the allegations. She also kept quiet while performing a cover at Dylan Fest in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, but pointedly chose his song I Shall Be Released for her tribute.

Kesha is currently trying to be released from her record contract as she pursues her allegations of sexual and emotional assault against Dr. Luke, who denies the claims.

She appeared emotional as she sung at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium at part of a two-night charity concert held to celebrate Dylan's 75th birthday, according to Billboard.com. Kesha held the last "shall" and looked upward as she performed the song about freedom and redemption.

"I played the Ryman in nashville tonight," she wrote on Instagram. "This place is not just a venue, it's a church. thank you for letting me grace this infamous stage to honor Bob Dylan. and if y'all wanna hang I mayyyyybe will be there tomorrow night.... (sic)."

Ben Folds spoke with People.com following their cover at the awards show, and he admits Kesha was trying to find faults in their performance.

"Well she's a perfectionist, so in our relationship, first, for me was to try and assure her that it was as good as it was, because she'll go looking for flat notes," he said. "But I think once the evidence was in that people loved it – despite whatever it was that she felt like she could've done better."
