Kendall Jenner ups her security in Paris after Kim Kardashian's ordeal

Kendall Jenner reportedly had a "special handler" at all times during her latest trip to Paris.

The model's older sister, Kim Kardashian, was left shaken and traumatized when a gang of masked men with guns broke into her Paris hotel, bound and gagged her and made off with money and jewelry in October (16).

So when it came to Kendall making her return to the French capital for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday night (30Nov16), the 21-year-old model is said to have gone all out to ensure her own safety.

An insider told the New York Post's gossip column Page Six that while security at the show was "sky-high" already, Kendall insisted on special handlers and security. She also apparently "wanted nothing to do with anyone except the people doing her hair and make-up, her handler and (friend) Gigi Hadid."

Kendall is also said to have ignored requests for interviews from journalists at the event, in the wake of a dramatic few months for her family which has also included her brother-in-law Kanye West's recent hospitalization.

"Kendall wouldn’t do press interviews and was actually hiding at one point," the insider added. "One reporter asked her a question and she literally ignored her. She just kept looking at pictures of herself on her phone."

It wasn't just security that was high around Kendall though. Event organizers had gone all out to ensure there were no issues at the star-studded show, with streets around the Grand Palais venue barricaded off and sniffer dogs on hand.

Vehicles dropping off models like Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Irina Shayk and Gigi and Bella Hadid were only allowed to stop briefly to let their passengers out, rather than parking up.

"Even VIPs had to circle the block while they waited their turn to stop," the source revealed.

When contacted by Page Six, a Victoria's Secret spokesperson said: "The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is a high-profile event and we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our team and guests no matter what city we’re in."

However, a representative for Kendall did not return the outlet's request for comment.
