Kelly Rowland to co-host Oscars red carpet show
Kelly Rowland will follow up her Destiny'S Child reunion at the Super Bowl earlier this month (Feb13) with another huge spectacle - she has signed up to co-host the official Academy Awards red carpet show.
The singer hit the stage in New Orleans, Louisiana with former bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams during the sporting event's half-time show on 3 February (13) and now she is set for another big girl power moment at the Academy Awards on 24 February (13).
Rowland will hit the red carpet with singer/actress Kristin
Chenoweth and Good Morning America anchor Lara Spencer for the
Oscars Red Carpet Live broadcast.
Announcing the exciting news via Twitter.com, Rowland writes,
"Thank you (to) The Academy for inviting me to host the Oscars Red
Carpet show. I can't wait! Tune in February 24!"
February has become a great month for the individual members of
Destiny's Child - as well as headlining the Super Bowl half-time
show, Beyonce debuted her new TV documentary Life is but a Dream in
America on Saturday night (16Feb13) and sat down for a candid,
ratings-popping chat with Oprah Winfrey while Williams is touring
America as one of the leads in musical Fela!
