Kelly Osbourne settles lawsuit with dad's ex-mistress
Kelly Osbourne has settled a legal spat with her father Ozzy's former mistress.
Hairdresser Michelle Pugh accused the TV star of using her Twitter account to "paint a target" on her back "as a publicity stunt for financial gain" in a recently amended lawsuit.
Kelly tweeted Pugh's direct phone number and accused her of "elder
abuse" after it emerged she had conducted a four-year affair with
rocker Ozzy behind his wife Sharon's back.
The scandal rocked the couple's marriage, led to a brief separation
earlier this year (16) and resulted in Ozzy seeking therapy for sex
addiction.
Pugh claims she was targeted with abuse and became the victim of
bullying after she was identified as the other woman in May
(16).
She initially filed papers in August (16), accusing Kelly of
publicly disclosing "private facts" and causing "intentional
infliction of emotional distress".
But it appears she and the TV personality have settled their
differences.
"The tweets have been removed and the lawsuit has been privately
resolved," Pugh's lawyer Edie Mermelstein tells People magazine.
"The resolution statement is mutual."
Kelly, who has yet to comment on the lawsuit or the reported
resolution, originally wrote on Twitter in May, "Anyone looking for
cheap chunky LOW-lights a blow out and a b**wjob call..." followed
by Pugh's phone number.
When one user blasted her for blaming the stylist and not Ozzy,
Kelly angrily replied, "are you in my family? NO YOU ARE NOT YOU
HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE DID! So keep ur (sic) high-mighty opinions to
yourself!"
Sharon was asked about Kelly's actions on The Talk and she admitted
she found the tweets funny. She explained, "She loves her mom. She
loves her dad so much... I'm always proud of my girl. What are you
going to be mad (about)? She's an adult."
