Kelly Osbourne inks head tattoo in honor of Orlando victims
Kelly Osbourne has paid a permanent tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting massacre by inking a new tattoo on the side of her head.
The same day a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people and injuring 50 others, the TV personality showed her support for the LGBTQ community by attending the Los Angeles Pride Parade on Sunday (12Jun16).
She posted a photo of herself at the event, holding a sign which
read: "WeHo (West Hollywood) loves Orlando", along with the
caption, "#FearlessAndProud Happy Pride".
In the photo she also showed off her shaved head, which featured
the word "solidarity" written on her scalp with a black marker.
And on Tuesday (14Jun16), she decided to make the word permanent by
getting the word tattooed on her skull.
Kelly posted a close-up photo of her new ink on Instagram, and
wrote, "Solidarity: 'Noun. Unity of feeling of individuals with a
common interest or purpose.' Individually, we have rights and
unique gifts. Together, we have strength and powerful harmony.
"I have wanted to get this tattoo for a long time. The tragedy in
Orlando devastated me and reminded me that every moment of our
lives is precious. Every human is precious. Love hard. Live
gracefully, authentically and with conviction, respect, purpose and
compassion. Together we achieve what is impossible to those who
stand alone."
She concluded, "Those of us who embrace and respect freedom stand
together, progress together, celebrate together and grieve
together. You are not alone."
The new "Solidarity" body art matches the "Stories" tattoo the 31
year old has on the other side of her shaved head. Kelly had the
ink done in 2014, in conjunction with the release of her clothing
line of the same name.
