Katy Perry supported by Orlando Bloom as she Roars at DNC
Orlando Bloom filmed Katy Perry's entire performance at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday night (28Jul16).
Katy took to the stage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to belt out her hit Roar and new track Rise in support of Hillary Clinton, who officially accepted her party's nomination to compete for the role of president - making history in the process.
The 31-year-old singer has long been a supporter of Hillary's, and
looked stunning in a floor-length silver glittering gown as she
delighted the audience with her performance.
One person thoroughly enjoying the rendition was Katy's doting
boyfriend Orlando, who was seen using his cell phone to record the
singer's performance.
The actor, 39, was seen on live TV holding up his phone to shoot
the footage, causing something of a Twitter storm in the
process.
"Orlando Bloom is such an adorable boyfriend. He filmed Katy Perry
the whole time she performed. Relationship goals," one person wrote
on Twitter, while another added, "Okay, Orlando Bloom is a really
cute boyfriend".
Katy also spoke to the crowd prior to her performance, encouraging
people not to lose the chance to have a say in the future by voting
in November (16).
"Both of my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans," she said.
"I did not finish high school and unfortunately, I don't have a
formal education, but I do have an open mind, and I have a
voice."
"So I am asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice,
because on November 8, it will be just as powerful as any NRA
lobbyist. You will have as much say as any billionaire. Because
it's not where you come from but what you grow into."
Also taking to the stage for the fourth day of the DNC was Carole
King and Kick-Ass actress Chloe Grace Moretz. The 19-year-old used
her time on stage to plead with her fellow millennials to vote for
Hillary, and was supported by beau Brooklyn Beckham, who made a
surprise appearance to watch his girlfriend's impassioned
speech.
