Katy Perry: 'My life is a fairy tale'
Unlucky-in-love singer Katy Perry is convinced her life is like a "very modern fairy tale" but insists she can achieve happiness without finding her "Prince Charming".
The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker suffered heartache last year (11) when her short-lived marriage to British funnyman Russell Brand crumbled, and they split in December (11) after just 14 months as man and wife.
She has since been linked to Florence and the Machine rocker Robert
Ackroyd, but Perry is adamant she doesn't need a man to make her
life complete.
She tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I've learnt I'm in a
very modern fairy tale. But I also know I don't need the Prince
Charming to have a happy ending. I can make the happy ending
myself... But I still like London boys... except one."
Perry is also keen to start a family in the future, although she
admits she still has some growing up to do herself before she
becomes a mom: "I want to be a mother but now's not the right time.
A baby can't have a baby, and I'm still a baby."
