Kate Hudson hits out at Nick Jonas gossip
Kate Hudson has hit out at the scrutiny surrounding her love life, following rumours she is romancing pop star Nick Jonas.
The 36-year-old star found herself in the midst of speculation about her personal life following claims she is dating the 23-year-old singer, and she is annoyed at the double standards men and women face when it comes to the dating world.
The Bride Wars actress, who ended her long-term relationship with
Muse singer Matt Bellamy in December 2014, told Britain's Red
magazine: "The media scrutinises all single women in the public
eye. You cannot have a conversation with a man without being
attached to them."
Kate is on good terms with her rock star ex Matt, admitting their
split was the best for her children. Kate and Matt have
four-year-old son Bingham together, and she is also mother to
Ryder, 12, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson.
"Of course, the goal is always to stay together," she said. "Matt
and I really worked on it together and we came to the point where
we realised that we are really better as friends and that is a
healthier approach for our kids. And we can see the results"
Kate was spotted with Nick on a relaxing ski trip in Mammoth Lakes,
California, last month (Feb16), but she has remained tight-lipped
about their relationship, telling reporters they are just
"friendly".
The speculation surrounding their on-off relationship previously
prompted Nick to admit that, "We weren’t in a relationship. It was
obviously publicised to a degree where it was impossible to deny
that something was happening. She’s amazing, and the time we shared
was really special. I care so much for her."
Posing in a bra for a photoshoot for Red magazine, Kate hit out at
the media frenzy surrounding her new found singledom. "Can women
not be friends with men?" she queried. "We need to stop judging
each other. Just focus on our own set goals. Perfection is for
amateurs! The perfect, the ideal is not the goal. Instead the goal
is feeling good in your body."
