Kat Dennings became a Twitter target after Drake went public with his crush

Kat Dennings discovered the pitfalls of becoming a rap pin-up's secret crush when Drake's fans took aim at her after he confessed to finding the Thor star attractive in a random tweet.

The odd couple eventually went out on a date, but Dennings discovered the romantic ties to the in-demand star didn't sit well with his legion of obsessed fans.

She explains, "Drake was super nice and said something on Twitter about me, but I didn't realise that happened.

"When I got home I had, like, 50,000 new followers on Twitter and then I looked and they were like, 'You can't take Drake from me, he's mine.'

"I'm like, 'I'm literally not trying to take Drake from you.' And then I realised what had happened."

And it appears Drake still has eyes for the actress - as recently as October (12) he had her on his mind as he was drawing up the guest list for his birthday party.

He told Elle magazine, "I'm gonna invite Kat Dennings. I'm in love with her. She's really funny. But I think she's dating someone."
