Kanye West: 'Kim and I are America's real first couple'
Kanye West has declared himself and fiancee Kim Kardashian the nation's most influential duo, placing them ahead of the country's first couple, President Barack Obama and wife Michelle.
Fresh from his much-mocked BBC interview earlier this month (Oct13), in which he branded himself a "musical genius", the outspoken rapper has put himself up for criticism once again by questioning who is the country's real power couple.
Slamming Vogue bosses for snubbing his reality TV star girlfriend
as a cover star, he insisted Americans are more captivated by his
relationship, making Kardashian perfect fodder for the fashion
bible.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, he said, "There's no
way that Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's
like the most intriguing woman right now. Barbara Walters is
calling every day.
"And, collectively, we're the most influential, especially with
clothing. Nobody is looking at what (President) Obama is
wearing."
He went on to claim that the First Lady's inability to pose for
provocative pictures like Kardashian, who recently posted a snap of
her famous butt on Instagram.com, sets her behind in the fame
stakes.
West added, "Michelle Obama can't Instagram a pic like what my girl
Instagrammed the other day. It wasn't about the suit, it was about
the girl."
