Kanye West applauded for glowing community service progress report

Rapper Kanye West has won high praise from a Los Angeles judge for making good progress in his community service sentence relating to a paparazzo clash last summer (13).

The Stronger hitmaker was ordered to complete 250 hours of community work in March (14) after he was slapped with a charge of misdemeanor battery following a bust-up with photographer Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport.

He signed up to spend his time sharing his style knowledge with students at various fashion colleges, and his efforts have earned him words of encouragement from the judge overseeing his case.

West's lawyer appeared in court this week (ends18Jul14) for a progress hearing and revealed the hip-hop star had completed 30 hours so far, in what his community service supervisor called "an excellent display of work", according to TMZ.com.

The official also ruled West was "performing excellently" in his anger management classes, fulfilling 10 of his mandatory 24 therapy sessions, and the glowing report prompted the judge to applaud the rapper's good behavior.
