Julianne Hough has set a wedding date
Actress Julianne Hough has set a wedding date after postponing her nuptials earlier this year (16).
The 28-year-old actress and dancer became engaged to ice hockey player Brooks Laich in August, 2015, and the pair had made plans to tie the knot this summer (16). However, work commitments left the couple with little time to work on arrangements for their big day, and so they made the decision to put the wedding off to a date that has yet to be determined.
At the time, the Rock of Ages star joked with Entertainment
Tonight, "We might get married in 10 years. Who knows?"
But now it seems the plans are very much back on.
"We have set a date so that's good," the actress tells the same
news outlet, but admits she has yet to pick out a dress.
"We both want small and intimate, but I come from a very large
family so as small and intimate as it can get with my big family,"
Julianne, who has four siblings, adds. "We've been so blessed and
so fortunate over the years that we've met so many incredible
people in our life. We want to share it with them too."
Hough and Laich first went public with their relationship in
February, 2014 and the sportsman, 33, decided to pop the question
when Julianne least expected it.
"We were at home, romantic and relaxed, which is perfectly very
'us'," Julianne wrote on her blog soon after the proposal. "We
stood on the deck, watching the sun set over the lake and listening
to our favorite songs. Not even for a second did I expect that
beautiful, serene scene was about to become one of the most
meaningful moments of our lives.
"In fact, I was so taken aback when Brooks got down on one knee, I
completely blacked out! It was like a rush of heat and a wave of
uncontrollable emotion swept right through my body."
