R&B hitmaker John Legend is developing a new competition series to find the next big hip-hop star via Netflix.

The All of Me singer is producing Rhythm & Flow through his Get Lifted Film Co., with the project designed to air on streaming service Netflix, reports Variety.com.

It's not yet clear if Legend will also appear on-camera for the show, as producers have yet to unveil the talent line-up.

If Rhythm & Flow is picked up to series, it will be Netflix's first talent competition.

Legend previously featured as a mentor on the short-lived TV singing contest Duets in 2012, when he appeared alongside fellow musicians Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, and Jennifer Nettles as they searched for aspiring artists to become their collaborators. The program lasted just one season, before it was canceled by bosses at network ABC.
