Joe Manganiello organized wedding around football team's schedule

Actor Joe Manganiello organized his wedding around his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers' football schedule, so he wouldn't have to miss a game and some of team's owners could be at his nuptials.

The Magic Mike hunk will wed sexy Sofia Vergara on 22 November (15) - the only weekend the Steelers have off during the 2015-2016 season.

He jokes, "I called ownership and I said, 'Listen, I need a week off to get married. They were happy to comply!"

But he's serious about inviting some of his sporting heroes: "There will be some members of the Steelers organization at my wedding. I'll sneak maybe a former player or two in there."

Vergara has previously revealed there will be 400 guests at the wedding. The couple initially agreed on 200 each, but she had to eat into her fiance's invite allowance because she has such a large family.

Manganiello, who is a regular at Steelers games, is trying to convert his fiancee, a New York Giants fan, before they become husband and wife.

He tells news show Entertainment Tonight, "She's got some Steelers sweatshirts and things like that that have started making their way out of the closet."
