Joe Jonas was warned not to get close to Britney Spears
Joe Jonas broke Britney Spears' alleged tour protocol with a hug.
The DNCE singer revealed on Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) on Thursday he was informed he shouldn't get too close to the Womanizer singer when he was the support act on her 2011 Femme Fatale tour.
According to Jonas, 26, the singer's entourage ensured the rule was
adhered to, and made sure everyone kept their distance from the
Baby One More Time singer.
Speaking to WWHL host Andy Cohen, Jonas revealed: "It's funny
because… technically you're not supposed to get too close to
Britney. Even though you are on tour with her they still ask you to
keep a comfortable distance."
Jonas stuck to the rules initially, however he admitted he couldn't
help himself and approached the singer at the end of their final
gig together.
"On the last day…I just went in there and gave her the biggest
hug," smiled the singer, adding there were no hard feelings from
Britney about the breach of personal space.
"She was very loving and had fun with it," he said. "So the rule is
you can't get close to Britney?" a wide-eyed Cohen asked.
"You can't get too close," confirmed Jonas.
However, it wasn't the only time the pair broke protocol. Britney
herself dragged the former Jonas Brothers singer onstage during the
London leg of her tour for a lapdance.
Jonas, appeared on the Bravo chat show alongside curvy Sports
Illustrated model Ashley Graham, with whom he shared a kiss for
DNCE's Toothbrush music video.
The voluptuous Nebraska native shared that her husband Justin was
less than impressed after she gushed about the experience.
"His breath was good," she smiled.
