Joanne Froggatt: 'I think I ate my first pets'

Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt fears she may have eaten her first pets.

The actress grew up on a sheep farm and adopted Adam and Eve as a young child.

"(They were) our first two sheep," she explains. "I used to play with them. We didn't have pets in the house, because we lived on a farm, so my pets were the sheep.

"I think we may have eaten them. I'm not sure, but probably!"

Joanne's parents turned their little farm into a profitable business after swelling their flock to over 100 sheep.

"My dad used to milk the sheep and my mum used to make cheese and yogurt out of the sheep's milk and sell it," she tells chat show host Jimmy Kimmel. "And I can actually milk a sheep.... It's a little bit strange."
