Jessica Alba's husband suffers torn Achilles

Jessica Alba's producer husband Cash Warren hobbled his way into 2016 after suffering a torn Achilles tendon.

The 36-year-old was photographed arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on crutches on Saturday (02Jan16), after returning from a family vacation in Mexico, and he has since taken to Instagram to explain his injury.

"Didn't expect to be starting 2016 with a torn achilles (sic) but that's the hand life deals you sometimes," he writes. "Can't wait to get back on my feet..."

The injury hasn't prevented Cash from leaving the house - he was spotted with his left leg in a cast during a shopping trip in Los Angeles on Monday (04Jan16).

Cash has yet to reveal how he sustained the torn Achilles, but the injury occurred six months after he dislocated his shoulder in a botched pool dive.

The father of two was showing off his sporting skills over the Independence Day holiday weekend (04-05Jul15) when he landed awkwardly in the water. He shared a snap of his impressive front dive on Instagram, but admitted it came at a cost.

"Dislocated my shoulder doing this dive...but it was worth it dammit!" he captioned the shot.
