Jennifer Lopez slams 'uncool' ex Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez has labelled Ben Affleck's giant back tattoo "awful".

The 46-year-old singer dated Ben from 2002 to 2004 and the pair were set to wed, but stunned fans when they called off their nuptials with days to go, citing "excessive media attention" as the reason. Despite no longer being with Ben, Jennifer still has some strong opinions about her former fiance, in particular the giant and colourful tattoo he has across his back.

"It's awful! What are you doing?" Jennifer said as she appeared on Watch What Happens Live! on Monday night (29Feb16) and was asked about his inking. "His tattoos always have too many colours, they shouldn't be so colourful. They should be cooler."

As well as the phoenix body art, father-of-three Ben also has a dolphin inking on his hip, barbed wire across his right upper arm, an odd design of a fish with a skull and crossbones on his right arm and several initials on his shoulder blade.

Jennifer isn't the only one of Ben's exes to criticise his tattoo choices.

His estranged wife Jennifer Garner, from whom he split in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage, also opened up about the inking during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine in which she discussed her marriage breakdown in brutally honest detail.

"You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart'," Jennifer said.

However, she insisted she hopes the phoenix is not referring to their former relationship, adding: "A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario? I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes."

Despite Jennifer's phoenix comment, she and Ben still appear to be on good terms. They were both seen attending the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on Sunday night (28Feb16).
