Jennifer Lawrence praises 'visionary' film director beau Darren Aronofsky
Jennifer Lawrence kept quiet on her romance with film director Darren Aronofsky, but happily praised his skill as a director in a new interview with Vanity Fair.
The 26-year-old actress went public with her new romance with the Black Swan director after they were seen kissing during a date night in New York City last month (Oct16). While she has not spoken about the relationship, she did open up about the Oscar nominated director in the publication's holiday issue.
Jennifer has landed a starring role in Darren's upcoming movie
Mother, set to be released in 2017, and while she didn't comment on
their relationship, she happily opened up to the magazine about
Darren and her career.
The Joy actress, who shot to global fame after starring as the
heroine Katniss Everdeen, had reportedly wanted to work with the
47-year-old director since the release of his Oscar-winning 2010
film, Black Swan.
“He is a visionary,” she gushed to Vanity Fair of the director,
adding that she accepted the role even before even seeing the
script.
Jennifer and the director, who was previously engaged to actress
Rachel Weisz, first sparked dating rumours earlier in October (16)
when they were spotted having dinner together at Los Angeles’
Commissary restaurant.
The following month (Nov16), the Academy Award winner and The
Wrestler filmmaker were snapped kissing outside a flower shop in
New York.
A source told Us Weekly at the time that the pair "get along really
well", and Jennifer has already met Darren's 10-year-old son,
Henry.
Despite her budding romance, the actress is as driven as ever when
it comes to her career.
"I don't like waking up with nothing to do or going to sleep
without accomplishing anything," Jennifer explained when asked to
give an insight into how she chooses projects. "That really
depresses me."
