Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky reunite for friendly stroll

Jennifer Lawrence has reconnected with her ex-boyfriend Darren Aronofsky for the holidays after enjoying a day out together in New York City.

The actress became romantically involved with filmmaker Darren after working together on recent thriller Mother!, but their relationship hit a stumbling block last month (Nov17) and they reportedly reached an amicable decision to call it quits.

The split news emerged days after they had made a joint appearance at the Governors Awards in Los Angeles on 11 November (17), and it seems they are happy to continue spending time together as friends as they reunited in Manhattan on Wednesday (20Dec17).

Jennifer, 26, and Darren, 48, were photographed smiling as they walked side-by-side during the afternoon stroll, with the blonde beauty carrying her pet dog Pippi.

"They are friends. They are not officially back together but are spending time together again," a source told E! News. "They never stopped speaking after they broke up. They care about each other. They are just seeing what happens."

The stars dated for just over a year, but only made their public debut as a couple at the Venice Film Festival in Italy in September.
