Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck spend Valentine's Day together

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck reunited for their first Valentine's Day (14Feb16) since their split to enjoy a family vacation with their children.

The estranged couple, which announced its separation last summer (Jun15), was spotted boarding a private plane with daughter Seraphina, seven, and son Samuel, three, at Van Nuys Airport in California on Friday (12Feb16).

Eldest child Violet, 10, was notably missing from the group, which was heading to its ski retreat in Montana for the weekend (13-14Feb16), according to People.com.

The family had previously escaped to the Big Sky resort for a quiet Christmas gathering in December (15).

"(Jennifer) wants to get along with Ben for the kids' sakes," an insider told People.com at the time.

"They had a nice Christmas," the source added. "Jen and Ben seem happy to be on vacation. They both enjoy the privacy of Montana."

It's the pair's latest effort to remain cordial following its separation in June (15) - they still live on the same Los Angeles property, where Ben occupies the guesthouse.
