Jay Z joins Justin Timberlake for surprise collaboration

Justin Timberlake gave fans an early Christmas treat on Sunday (14Dec14) by inviting rap superstar Jay Z to join him onstage in New York City.

The SexyBack hitmaker took his The 20/20 Experience Tour to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn this weekend and called on his former collaborator to perform a special rendition of Holy Grail for his hometown crowd, sending devotees into a spin.

Jay Z's wife Beyonce and her new gal pal Taylor Swift cheered on the pair from the VIP section, where they danced and sang along with sibling rockers Haim.

Timberlake later shared an Instagram.com photo of himself and the hip-hop icon onstage, alongside the caption, "Nothing like being at sold-out Barclays with the King of Brooklyn..."

The gig took place two days after all of the musicians partied together at Swift's Manhattan apartment to celebrate her 25th birthday.
