Brad Pitt steps in for sick Angelina Jolie at Unbroken premiere

Brad Pitt and three of his children stepped in to replace his wife Angelina Jolie at the Los Angeles premiere of her movie Unbroken while she stayed at home with chickenpox.

The Tomb Raider actress was forced to pull out of promotional duties for her second directorial effort after she was diagnosed with the highly contagious disease last week (ends14Dec14).

At the Los Angeles premiere on Monday (15Dec14), the couple's eldest children Maddox, Pax and Shiloh donned matching black suits to help their dad promote the film on Jolie's behalf.

Pitt tells E! News, "Her spirits are high... A little spotted and a little itchy, but her spirits are high."

On Sunday (14Dec14), Pitt also attended an Unbroken presentation in Jolie's place.

It is not known whether she will recover in time to continue her promotional tour.
