Jason DeRulo denies falling at Met Gala

R&B star Jason Derulo has denied he was involved in a nasty accident at the Met Gala on Monday (04May15) after a rumour spread on social media suggesting he fell down the steps of New York's famous Metropolitan Museum of Art.

A picture of a man in a white tuxedo taking a tumble down the stairs emerged online as celebrities arrived at the annual fundraiser in the Big Apple and fans were convinced it was DeRulo.

However, the singer took to Instagram.com to clear up the story, insisting he was not even at the glitzy event, writing, "LMAO (laughing my a** off) I'm at rehearsal in L.A. F*q ya'll (sic)!"

The image is actually an old photo of a man who fell at a previous Met Gala bash.

Celebrities on the red carpet included Beyonce and Jay Z, Madonna, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
