Jake T. Austin cleared in hit-and-run case

TV star Jake T. Austin has been found not guilty of misdemeanour hit-and-run following a four-car collision last year (13).

The former Wizards of Waverly Place star was slapped with the charge in July (14) after his Audi allegedly smashed into three parked cars in Sherman Oaks, California in November (13).

The passengers were not present when police arrived on the scene and it was not known if Austin, real name Jake Austin Szymanski, was directly involved in the crash.

According to TMZ.com, a judge has found the 20-year-old actor not guilty. He concluded that Austin could not be convicted of hit-and-run because he reported the accident to police within a reasonable time.
