Iggy Azalea settles case against ex-boyfriend

Written by . Published: July 10 2015

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has reached a settlement with her ex-boyfriend over claims he stole files from her computer.

The Fancy hitmaker sued her former boyfriend Maurice Williams, aka Jefe Wine, last year (14) for allegedly copying files from her personal computer when they were dating and subsequently taking her unreleased master recordings to put on his own upcoming disc.

Williams claimed he had "secured the rights" to her music, but Azalea was granted a preliminary injunction stopping the release of her tracks as the project was a violation of her copyright and trademark.

Both parties have now reached a settlement in the case, and Azalea has paid Williams an undisclosed amount as part of the agreement, according to TMZ.com.

During their legal battle last year (14), Williams also claimed Azalea was his common law wife and that he was selling off an intimate tape of the former couple. Azalea denied both claims.

She is now engaged to marry basketball player Nick Young.
