Iggy Azalea's fiance Nick Young settles sex assault lawsuit
Iggy Azalea's fiance Nick Young has settled a lawsuit accusing the basketball star of sexual assault.
The Los Angeles Lakers player hit headlines in 2011 after a woman claimed the sportsman had slipped a drug into her drink while partying at a bar in Hollywood, and then took her back to his home, where she alleged she was raped.
Police launched an investigation into the accusations, but
subsequently dropped the case against Young amid concerns over
discrepancies in the alleged victim's story.
The female, whose identity has not been released, filed suit in
2013 and demanded $3 million from Young for emotional distress and
lost earnings, but he refused to pay up so he could continue
fighting to clear his name.
However, both parties have since agreed to settle the suit and the
court case has been dismissed. The terms of the deal have been kept
confidential, according to TMZ.com.
Young appears to be following in his fiancee's footsteps to rid
themselves of any drama ahead of their planned 2016 wedding -
Azalea reached a legal settlement with her ex-boyfriend, Maurice
Williams, earlier this month (Jul15) over allegations he stole
files, including a sex tape of the former couple, from the rapper's
personal computer while they were dating.
