No truth in Emma Watson kidnap story

Movie bosses have closed an investigation into bizarre claims crew members on the set of Emma Watson's new movie Beauty & The Beast plotted to kidnap the actress.

The scary rumors emerged late last week (ends17Jul15) when a source overheard two studio workers discussing plans to abduct the Harry Potter star - and passed the information to movie staff.

A British tabloid picked up the story over the weekend, prompting executives to look into the matter.

A film spokesperson says, "The story was looked into by production and found to be unsubstantiated and untrue."

Filming was not halted and the movie is scheduled for release in March, 2017.
