Hutcherson obtained scuba diving license for new movie
Actor Josh Hutcherson was forced to obtain his scuba diving certification before signing on to new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
The Kids Are All Right star, who features in the adventure film alongside actress Vanessa Hudgens, jetted to Turks & Caicos for a crash-course in underwater safety to ensure the project went off without a hitch.
Hutcherson tells The West Australian, "I was most anxious about the
scuba diving scenes. Vanessa was already scuba certified but I got
scuba certified for the movie.
"I got certified in Turks & Caicos and it was just so beautiful,
going in caves and seeing schools of barracuda... If you’re
not certified, every time you go out you have to take a little
training course so it’s a lot easier if you just get
certified and then you can go down a lot deeper."
