Heidi Klum is the most dangerous star on the web

Written by . Published: September 17 2011

Supermodel and TV personality Heidi Klum has been named the most dangerous star on the internet.

Fans of the former Victoria's Secret model are more likely to end up with computer viruses after searching for the German beauty than for any other famous face.

According to online security company McAfee Inc., fans searching for downloads of the Project Runway judge have a one-in-10 chance of landing on a site that can damage their PC or laptop.

Meanwhile, British talk show host Piers Morgan was found to be the most dangerous male celebrity to Google.

A spokesman for McAfee explains, "While slightly safer than last year, searching for top celebrities continues to generate risky results. Consumers should be particularly aware of malicious content hiding in 'tiny' places likes shortened URLs that can spread virally in social networking sites, or through emails and text messages."

Last year's (10) most dangerous celebrity, actress Cameron Diaz, was runner-up in the annual survey.
