Gwyneth Paltrow lands Coldplay and Alicia Keys for cancer telethon
Gwyneth Paltrow has recruited her husband's band Coldplay to perform at an upcoming charity telethon alongside stars including Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys.
The Hollywood actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is in charge of producing the upcoming Stand Up to Cancer charity event and she has already landed a star-studded guestlist for the show.
Coldplay will perform on the TV telethon along with Swift, Keys and
country star Tim McGraw, and other celebrity participants include
Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Samuel L. Jackson, Emma Stone, Jessica
Biel and Jeremy Renner, as well as cancer survivor Michael
Douglas.
Paltrow, who lost her father to cancer in 2002, took over the role
from late movie producer Laura Ziskin, who died of the disease last
year (11).
Stand Up to Cancer will air on 7 September (12).
