Ghostbusters stars surprise sick kids with hospital visit

New Ghostbusters stars Melissa Mccarthy and Kristen Wiig took a break from filming on Saturday (01Aug15) to visit sick kids at a Boston, Massachusetts children's hospital in full costume.

Fellow co-stars Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones also joined in the fun by donning their brown and orange jumpsuits and proton packs for the surprise trip to Tufts Medical Center, close to where the actresses are currently shooting the reboot with director Paul Feig.

During the visit, the group posed for photos with patients and the images were later shared on Facebook.com by hospital officials.

In a post about the surprise call, they write, "Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones came to visit! Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! #WhoYouGonnaCall #Ghostbusters."

One shot depicted the cast standing outside one girl's room, and featured the caption, "This sweet patient couldn't have visitors in the room when the Ghostbusters were there but wanted a photograph, so the ladies posed outside the room to get her in the shot. Very thoughtful ladies!"
