Fans sign petition for Jennifer Lopez Way

A petition to name a New York street after Jennifer Lopez has received more than 1,300 signatures.

Fan Edgardo Luis Rivera launched the campaign to convince city officials to rename a stretch of road in Lopez's native The Bronx as 'Jennifer Lopez Way'.

Rivera writes on the petition's website, "I need the help of every J.Lover and fan in the world to help support and sign this petition so that we can see Jennifer Lopez have an honorary street named after her in her hometown of The Bronx!"

He also revealed on the site that actress Kristin Chenoweth has signed the petition to immortalise the singer/actress with the road name.

The campaign has gained momentum and next month (10Nov14) Riviera will pitch the proposal to the Bronx Community Council.
