Evan Rachel Wood delighted to hang out with idol Patti Smith

Evan Rachel Wood has extra special memories of her recent trip to Venice, Italy - she hung out with singer Patti Smith and "sang lullabies" with the punk rock icon.

The Wrestler beauty was in Europe to promote her new movie The Ides of March in August (11) when she got the opportunity to bond with Patti Smith - and she's been in disbelief at her rock star meeting ever since.

She tells People magazine, "When I was in Venice, I got to hang out with her. We walked around at night and sang lullabies. I'm still coming down from that."

And Evan Rachel Wood is now planning to read up about the Because the Night hitmaker - she's put Patti Smith's acclaimed memoir, Just Kids, on her reading hit list.
