Estelle performs for troops in Kuwait

Estelle spent her weekend (09-11Dec11) in Kuwait to bring a little Christmas cheer to soldiers stationed in the Arab country.

The American Boy hitmaker staged two concerts for the armed forces and mingled with the troops during her brief trip to the Middle East, but she struggled to adjust to the desert atmosphere.

In a series of posts on Twitter.com, she wrote, "First time in kuwait. Pretty excited. Here we go...

"Sand from the desert makes it hard to breathe a bit... Understanding what the troops do adds more respect."

However, Estelle managed to overcome her breathing difficulties to take in a bit of sightseeing before taking to the stage on Sunday (11Dec11) for the second time.

She adds, "Just performed for the troops again. 2nd perf (performance). Y'all were a bunch of fun!!!!!"
