Emma Stone turned out at a New York benefit on Wednesday (15May13) to raise awareness of women battling cancer.
The Help star attended the 2013 Gilda's Club Benefit Luncheon at the Metropolitan Club, which is put on in memory of late comic Gilda Radner, who died from ovarian cancer in 1989.
Stone took her mother Krista, who has battled breast cancer in the
past, to the event, and credited Radner for inspiring her dreams of
becoming an actress.
She tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "(Gilda Radner's)
been my hero since I was 7. My mom actually showed me her sketches
on SNL (Saturday Night Live) and I fell in love with Gilda. It's
part of why I wanted to become a comedienne."
