Emma Stone spooked by spider prank

Emma Stone was forced to confront her fear of spiders during a recent TV appearance when a creepy-crawly was dumped on her lap.

The Amazing Spider-Man star was left squirming in her chair after TV host Ellen DeGeneres pulled an eight-legged 'creature' out a cage during their interview - completely unaware the bug was actually a fake prop.

The actress tried to remain calm, insisting, "It looks great! I'm not afraid of that at all..." but jumped out of her seat when the comedienne tossed the spider in her direction, yelping, "I'm going to throw up!"

Stone began laughing after realising the spider was a toy and scolded her prankster, "Ellen, you are such a jerk! You are the worst! Why would you do that to somebody? That is so horrible!"
