Ellie Goulding spiralled out of control after Skrillex split

Ellie Goulding almost went off the rails following her heartbreaking split from dance star Skrillex.

The Burn hitmaker reveals her life took a turn for the worse following the breakup last year (12), and she has credited her family and close pals with keeping her feet on the ground.

Goulding tells the London Evening Standard, "If I'm honest there was a small phase about a year ago where my feet were off the ground. I needed that time to go a bit crazy. But now I'm adjusted, I'm really back and level headed...

"I feel like there was a moment of adjustment and I conquered it. I'm always in touch with my family, my friends and their situations. It's very hard with the people around me to let my feet get off the ground."
