Ellie Goulding puts next album on hold
Ellie Goulding is too “snowed in” with her Delirium World Tour duties to think about new music.
The British singer has become a global star thanks to hits like Anything Could Happen and Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack song Love Me Like You Do. While fans are desperate for new material following on from her last album Delirium, released in 2015, Ellie has some disappointing news.
"I honestly have no idea when I will be working on my next album,”
she sighed to Daily Star Online. "I have been in the studio for
other bits of work but not for an album as such.
"I've done a few collaborations and there are a few things in the
pipeline, but to be honest I am snowed in with my tour at the
moment."
Ellie’s followers did get a little taste of new music when
discarded album track Kingdom was posted online. While the
29-year-old wasn’t behind the leak, Ellie isn’t too upset over
it.
"To be honest I am happy for my fans to have heard the track. I
guess some fans have already over-played my latest album so with
the leak, it's not the end of the world,” she shrugged.
"If I release the album it will be with songs I record in the next
few months."
Ellie also broached the subject of the panic attacks she used to
have at the beginning of her career. The singer has spoken in the
past about the anxiety she’s suffered from, but assures people that
those days are now behind her.
"At the beginning of my career everything was very intense and it
was a very different world to enter for a country girl like me,”
she opened up. "It was all a lot to take in; I think it is easy to
get to a place where you panic about everything.
"But now everything is good, everything is cool now."
