Ed Sheeran is a double record-breaker

Pop star Ed Sheeran is setting a new high on his tour Down Under after breaking two gig attendance records in successive nights.

The British singer performed at the AAMI Park in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday (05Dec15) and attracted a record crowd of 33,323, but when he returned to the venue on Sunday (06Dec15) for another concert he broke his own best with an audience of 33,595.

The previous attendance record at AAMI Park was held by Bruce Springsteen, who performed for 31,847 fans last year (14).

However, Ed's record might be short-lived as he already faces having to hand it over to one of his closest showbiz pals - pop superstar Taylor Swift is due to perform three gigs at the same venue from Thursday (10Dec15) to close out her 1989 World Tour.
