Ed Sheeran goes back to school to party

Ed Sheeran surprised a group of college students in North Carolina on Tuesday (10Nov15) when he turned up at a party with his rumored girlfriend and her classmates.

The pop star, who dropped out of school at 16 to focus on his music dreams, has been linked to Duke University student Cherry Seaborn since the summer (15), and he joined his fellow Brit in the town of Chapel Hill on Tuesday to enjoy a college party.

Video footage of his visit, obtained by TMZ.com, features Ed learning how to play drinking game beer pong, while he was later spotted making a stop at local bar He's Not Here, before ending up at a Lambda Chi fraternity bash.

Ed and Cherry ended their night with a late night food run at an on-campus sandwich spot.

The pair was previously snapped spending time together in New York City, while the Thinking Out Loud singer also took his reported latest flame to Las Vegas for Labor Day weekend in September (15) to party with his DJ pal Calvin Harris.

The singer has yet to comment on the nature of his relationship with Cherry, who attended Thomas Mills High School in Suffolk, England with Ed during their youth.

The 24 year old split from former girlfriend Athina Andrelos earlier this year (15) and was subsequently rumored to be dating Irish model Louise Johnston. He laughed off the romance speculation in early July (15), confessing his love life is "actually non-existent" due to his busy touring schedule.

"My relationship (with Athina) ended and then the day after it ended I was in the Middle East, Asia, South America, New Zealand," he explained to British radio station Capital FM. "I was just gone and in my mind I had no time to settle with it. So I was just working, working, working... I'm still kind of in that space, I'm still in my working space. I haven't really had time to sit back and re-evaluate personal life, because I don't really have a personal life."
