Duchess of Cambridge too ill to continue work commitments
Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge has pulled out of another royal engagement as she continues to battle severe morning sickness.
The British royal is expecting her second child with husband Prince William, but has been struck down with hyperemesis gravidarum, the same condition which blighted her first pregnancy.
She axed a number of outings, including an official trip to Malta,
but had hoped to return to work this week (beg29Sep14) by attending
the launch of a charity project in London.
However, she has now confirmed she is not well enough to attend the
event for The Art Room organisation.
The Duchess says in a statement, "I am truly sorry that I cannot be
with you all... as you celebrate this milestone. As Patron of The
Art Room I feel great pride to see the work that the charity is
doing... I hope that you have a wonderful afternoon. My sincere
apologies for not being able to join you but I hope that I will
have an opportunity to visit... soon."
A spokesman for the royal insists she has no more engagements
booked and future appointments will be "kept under review on a case
by case basis".
The royal couple's first child, Prince George, was born last year
(13).
