Dina Lohan lands plea deal in DWI bust

Written by . Published: April 16 2014

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina has agreed to complete 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Dina Lohan was arrested in her native Long Island, New York in September (13) after she was allegedly caught speeding. She failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody, where she was booked for DWI and speeding.

She argued her innocence during a court hearing shortly after her bust, but she has since reached a plea deal with authorities and changed her plea in court on Tuesday (15Apr14).

As part of the agreement, Lohan must undergo community service, attend a mandatory drinking and driving awareness program and a victim impact panel, and have an interlocking device installed in her car to prevent her from getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.

She will also have her license revoked and have to pay a series of legal fees and fines.

Lohan will be formally sentenced on 3 June (14), reports TMZ.com.
