David Blaine denies rape allegations

Celebrated illusionist David Blaine has refuted allegations linking him to the rape of a model at his London home over a decade ago.

According to The Daily Beast, authorities in the British capital are eager to talk to Blaine after Natasha Prince claimed he attacked her in 2004, when she was 21.

She only filed a complaint with police last year (16), and the matter is still under investigation.

A statement issued by Scotland Yard officials to the outlet read: "Officers from the Met's (Metropolitan Police) Child Abuse and Sexual Offenses Command are investigating an allegation of rape.

"The allegation was reported to police on 17 November 2016 by a woman who alleged she was raped at an address in Chelsea in June or July 2004 when she was aged 21. There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries continue."

Prince has reportedly told detectives had asked Blaine to fly to the U.K. with his lawyer for an "interview under caution" last month (Sep17), but the star's attorney, Marty Singer, suggests The Daily Beast article is the first he's heard of the case.

"My client vehemently denies that he raped or sexually assaulted any woman, ever, and he specifically denies raping a woman in 2004," Singer told the website. "If, in fact, there is any police investigation, my client will fully co-operate because he has nothing to hide."
