Christina Applegate planning real mom blog
Actress Christina Applegate is considering starting a blog to give an honest account of what it's like being a celebrity mom.
The Anchorman star plays an annoyingly perfect mother in new comedy Bad Moms, but she admits in real-life she struggles with the same pain and problems all moms have to deal with.
"Every day we are scrutinised for our parenting by other mothers,
by blogs with opinions about breastfeeding," she tells WENN.
"There's so much pressure to be perfect."
And so Christina is now seriously thinking about joining the
blogosphere and giving real moms a place to turn to: "I'm deeply
considering starting a blog that will be my version of what a mom
blog is; what a mom blog should be which is super honest and no
advice because I don't give other moms advice.
"Just a little look inside how my day goes with my kid and the
heartbreak that goes on inside my head of loving someone so much;
things like that. I have a lot that I have to say so I was thinking
about possibly doing it. But I don't know if I'd be good at
writing."
And the actress is just about to be handed all the material she'll
need as a blogger when her five-year-old daughter Sadie Grace
starts kindergarten in August (16) - and she has to compete with
all the other moms.
"I'm going to go in with the sense of 'I don't care what anybody
thinks of me'," she shares. "I'll go and pick up my daughter in
pajamas and dirty hair that I haven't washed in seven days. I
haven't had a proper manicure/pedicure in about a year and a half,
so I'm not that guy who cares if people are judging me as a parent
or even as a human! If they're kooky then they'll just be fodder
for me on some blog. I'll just talk about that."
