Chris Brown has vowed "the world will see" his version of events following his arrest on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

The Forever singer was taken into custody in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (30Aug16) after police officers searched his home in Tarzana, California in connection to allegations he threatened model Baylee Curran at gunpoint.

He was released later that evening after posting $250,000 bail. He subsequently assured followers on Instagram his side of the story will soon come out.

Chris shared a video made by singer Ray J, who pledged his support for Chris and blasted the handling of the situation, and wrote in the caption, "Real friends!!!!! The world will see!!! TRUST ME."

In Ray J's video, he said, "I'm not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be.

"To react like that, so fast without really knowing the facts... It's just not right. It shouldn't be like this. I support the homie Chris and I support the whole movement... I'm here... This... gotta change. It can't be like this every time somebody yipping and yapping trying to get an extra buck. It turns around and it's all bad on us. It ain't cool (sic)."

Bruno Mars and wrestler Hulk Hogan also tweeted their support for the singer and Chris' lawyer Mark Geragos called the allegations "demonstrably false", while Baylee has spoken to news outlets to share her version of events.

She told Extra Chris pulled out his gun and said, "'I'm getting so sick of you people,' pointed the gun at me, (and told me) to get... out of the house" after she was found looking at jewellery in his home.

Baylee claims she fled down the driveway barefoot and hid under a vehicle until police officers arrived.

Chris is next scheduled to appear at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center on 20 September (16) for an arraignment.
