Chris Brown gifts domestic violence victim with new car
Singer Chris Brown gave an abused single mum an early Christmas present over the weekend (05-06Dec15) when he handed her the keys to a new car.
The Fine China star visited the Boys & Girls Club in Hollywood on Saturday (05Dec15) and presented domestic violence victim Jessica Roncalli and her three children with a new vehicle and toys for the holiday season.
"I've been very fortunate and blessed with so much in my life and I
always thought that it was supposed to be that way," he writes on
Instagram.com. "I was selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted. I'm able
to bless and inspire so many others and I realize that now.
"This woman has delt (dealt) with domestic abuse through her life
and her 3 wonderful children had to experience that. I see myself
when I looked (sic) into their eyes. The amount of strength this
woman has is remarkable. I hope I could make their Christmas a
great one. I hope the kids love all the toys and things I got for
them. And for moms, I hope I could put a smile on this family's
face."
Brown's visit comes just days after he handed out 2,000 turkeys to
families in Queens, New York before the Thanksgiving holiday last
month (26Nov15). He also recently announced proceeds from his
Royalty album will benefit the Children's Miracle Network
Hospitals.
Brown has been on the wrong side of abuse - in 2009, he pleaded
guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, and, in a subsequent
interview, the 26 year old revealed he grew up in a household where
he frequently witnessed his mother being abused by his
stepfather.
Brown recently opened up about becoming a father to his
one-year-old daughter Royalty, revealing parenthood had changed him
as a man and made him a better, more patient person.
