Chris Brown escapes charges over Las Vegas bust-up
Police in Las Vegas have dropped an assault case against Chris Brown due to lack of evidence.
The singer became the focus of a police probe after he was accused of punching a Brazilian model at a New Year's Day (01Jan16) party in Sin City.
Representatives for Chris, 26, alleged Liziane Gutierrez made the
incident up because she was upset about being ejected from a
private party at The Palms resort, and claimed cops were wasting
their time with the investigation.
It has now emerged the police inquiry has been dropped and Chris
will not face criminal charges over the alleged bust-up, according
to editors at TMZ.com.
Chris recently opened up about fatherhood, declaring he turned his
life around after becoming a dad to a little girl named
Royalty.
"I have a co-parenting job that's pretty amazing but, you know,
learning how to be a dad, especially learning how to take care of
somebody else," he told Los Angeles radio host Ryan Seacrest. "I
barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning! It's actually
great. It's very humbling... It's very calming.
"I think I was a lot (more)... rambunctious, very hyper as a kid
but, now seeing that 10 times over, my daughter's kinda, like,
mellowing me out."
Chris even resolved a bitter feud with his ex-girlfriend Nia Guzman
so they can co-parent the youngster.
"I think, with me, the main thing is probably patience," he added.
"With me, I always want stuff done right now - 'Let's get it done,
let's get it done!' but, you know, being able to be a father and,
you know, seeing my daughter from those gradual stages, from
crawling to walking to saying words now, you know, learning
different things every day is kinda just teaching me patience."
