Chloe Grace Moretz pays tattoo tribute to grandmother
Actress Chloe Grace Moretz has paid tribute to her late grandmother with a new tattoo.
The Kick-Ass star, 19, lost her gran in 2014, and, while in New York City to promote her new movie Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising on Monday (23May16), she decided to make a stop at Manhattan's West 4 Tattoo parlor to add to her body of art.
Tattoo artist Jon Boy has since shared a series of photos of
Chloe's visit on Instagram.com, revealing her grandma's name,
Janette Duke, written in a script font above an existing flower
tattoo on her left ribcage.
The professional simply captioned the image, "JanetteDuke
#jonboytattoo".
Chloe also decided to get a small, matching tattoo with her friend,
actress/singer Kathryn Gallagher, with their initials "CK" etched
in white ink on their ankles.
After the session, Jon Boy let the teenager take charge of the
tattoo gun to make her mark on his forearm.
"Pro @chloegmoretz #jonboytattoo," he wrote beside a brief clip of
Chloe in action.
The actress isn't Jon Boy's only celebrity client. Earlier this
month (May16), he helped to add to Justin Bieber's tattoo
collection, after inking a tiny cross under his left eye, and
subsequently revealed the discreet design, similar to one Jon Boy
has himself, was a nod to his faith in God.
"We were sitting there and chatting about why we wanted it near the
eye, and it's really to see people through the cross - to see
people with our eyes through the cross with our grace and with our
love," the tattoo artist told The Hollywood Reporter.
Jon Boy also counts the likes of models Kendall Jenner and Hailey
Baldwin as clients.
