Chad Michael Murray shares gender of second child

Actor Chad Michael Murray and his wife are expecting a daughter.

The former One Tree Hill star and his actress wife, Sarah Roemer, shared they are expecting their second child last month (Nov16), and on Thursday (01Dec16), a representative for the couple confirmed to Us Weekly the baby is a girl.

Chad and Sarah are already parents to an 18-month-old son, but have yet to reveal his name.

The couple met in 2013 while filming their TV series Chosen and revealed in January last year (15) that they had secretly wed and were expecting their first child.

The private couple have yet to publicly acknowledge 32-year-old Sarah’s second pregnancy, but she did post a photo in October (16), in which she posed in a white dress that showed a hint of a baby bump.

Back in July, Chad, 35, gushed about becoming a father and the joy that parenthood has given him.

"For me, it was the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me," he shared to Entertainment Tonight. "Having kids is a game changer and I think you’re always walking around with the mentality that you want to make sure that they’re proud and you want to represent them well and just be a great leader."

As well as preparing to welcome his second child, Chad also has another project in the works, as he's been busy writing a "adventure-thriller-romance" novel. The new book, titled American Drifter, which he co-authored with Heather Graham, follows the story of a soldier’s adventure while backpacking through Rio de Janeiro.

Chad was previously married to his One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush in 2005, but they split after just five months as husband and wife. Their divorce was finalized in 2006.
